The terms on which Movans provides removals and storage services. These describe how we coordinate your move honestly - one accountable company working with vetted local crews.

These terms
These terms apply when you book a move, storage, or any related service with us. Confirming a booking means you accept them. Nothing in them reduces the rights you have as a consumer under UK law.
Quotes and pricing
Your quote is an instant, transparent price set against the details you provide - property size, addresses, access, and dates. It is only as accurate as those details. If the move changes materially - more to carry, harder access, a different date - the price may change, and we tell you before any work proceeds. No hidden extras on the day.
Booking and payment
Your booking confirmation states the price, the date, the payment terms, and any deposit. It is the document that binds us both: if anything in it looks wrong, tell us before moving day.
How the service is delivered
We coordinate vetted local crews to carry out your move. Every crew on our panel is checked before it carries a single box for us, and we stand behind its work. You deal with one accountable company and one point of contact from quote to delivery.
Your responsibilities
Give us accurate details when you book, and tell us about anything unusual - restricted parking, long carries, items over the ordinary. Arrange any parking permissions the crew will need. Do not include hazardous or flammable materials, perishables, animals, or anything unlawful in the load, and tell us in advance about items of unusual value so we can plan for them.
Cover for your goods
Goods-in-transit cover and public liability cover apply on every move we coordinate. The specific cover limits for your move are stated in your booking confirmation - in writing, before you commit, not discovered afterwards.
Storage
Stored goods are held securely at our partner storage facilities; we confirm the storage arrangements for your move with you directly. What goes into storage is listed when it is collected, storage charges and billing are set out in your booking confirmation, and redelivery is arranged with notice. If storage charges remain unpaid, we may hold redelivery until the account is settled.
Cancellation and changes
Plans change - tell us as soon as yours do. Moving the date or cancelling is free with reasonable notice; where notice is short, any charge reflects the work already done and the slot we can no longer fill, and is set out in your booking confirmation.
Delays
Arrival and delivery times are given in good faith but are estimates: traffic, weather, and property chains are outside anyone’s control. Neither of us is liable for what genuinely could not be helped - and if a delay is on us, we say so and put it right.
Damage and claims
If something is lost or damaged, tell us as soon as you can and within seven days of delivery, with photos where possible. We assess every claim against the cover terms in your booking confirmation and resolve it by repair, replacement, or payment. We do not accept liability for goods you packed yourself unless the packing was sound, or for inherent faults and ordinary wear.
Complaints
Raise any concern with us directly at move@movans.co.uk and we deal with it fairly and quickly - the same person who quoted your move is accountable for it. If we cannot resolve it between us, you retain every remedy the law gives you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
